Single Supplement: No single supplement applies to the first 2 rooms in a booking. Additional single occupancy rooms incur a 50% supplement.
Children Policy: Minimum age is 6 years. Children aged 6–12 receive a 30% discount on the adult rate.
Provisional Bookings: No booking will be held provisionally unless requested in writing. Once confirmed in writing, the booking is held for 14 days before automatic release.
Extras & Payments: All extras incurred at the camp must be settled before departure via credit card. A 3.5% surcharge applies.
Check-In/Check-Out: Check-in is at 13:00; check-out is at 10:00. Early check-in or late check-out is available at USD 150 per person per event. This fee covers general camp facilities, activities, and catering but does not guarantee access to guest accommodation.
Included & Excluded Items: Only activities or items explicitly listed in the rate sheet are included. Anything not specifically mentioned is excluded.
Pricing: The cost of the booking is as stated on the pro forma invoice. Baines’ River Lodge reserves the right to adjust prices in the event of unforeseen fluctuations in currency, fuel, or supplier costs.
Deposit & Payment: A 25% part-payment is required to confirm a booking. The balance must be paid 60 days before arrival. Late payment may result in loss of the booking.
Cancellations: All cancellations must be made in writing. Fees apply as follows:
Between confirmation and 90 days before arrival: USD 100 admin fee
90–31 days before arrival: 25% of total booking
30–0 days before arrival: 100% of total booking
Travel Documents & Requirements: Customers are responsible for ensuring all passports, visas, birth certificates, affidavits, and medical requirements are valid and in order prior to arrival.
Morning:
Depart Lusaka at 06:00 by private road transfer (~5–6 hours, 420 km) or take a scheduled light aircraft flight to Baines’ River Lodge airstrip (~1 hour).
Enjoy scenic views of Zambia’s countryside en route, passing small villages and the Lower Zambezi floodplains.
Midday:
Arrive at Baines’ River Lodge around 12:30.
Welcome briefing, lodge orientation, and check-in to riverside chalets.
Light lunch served at the lodge restaurant overlooking the Zambezi River.
Afternoon:
First safari activity: Sunset canoe safari along the Zambezi River.
Spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and water birds in their natural habitat.
Guided instructions provided on safety, wildlife behavior, and photography tips.
Evening:
Return to the lodge for sundowner drinks on the deck.
Dinner at the lodge, featuring local and international cuisine.
Optional nightcap or stargazing session.

Early morning wake-up call.
Depart for a guided game drive in Lower Zambezi National Park.
Track elephants, lions, buffalo, antelope, and a variety of birds with expert guides.
Return to lodge for breakfast at 09:30.
09:30 – 12:30: Leisure / Optional Activities
Enjoy private deck relaxation, lodge swimming pool, or birdwatching.

12:30 – 14:00: Lunch at Lodge
Buffet or set menu lunch featuring fresh local ingredients and beverages.
14:30 – 17:30: Afternoon Safari

Game Drive: Explore a different section of the park for diverse sightings.
Evening:
Return to lodge for sundowners on the river deck.
Dinner at the lodge followed by optional night drive to spot nocturnal wildlife (advance request).
