Your safari begins with a 07:00 pickup from your Windhoek accommodation, followed by a short pre-departure briefing. Traveling north, we stop in Otjiwarongo for supplies before continuing to Etosha National Park.
After enjoying a light packed lunch en route, we enter Etosha and begin our first game drive, visiting several waterholes in search of wildlife. Etosha spans over 22,000 square kilometres and supports an incredible diversity of mammals, birds, reptiles, and insects.
We arrive at our lodge inside the park just before sunset. After settling into your en-suite room, you can visit the famous floodlit waterhole, where elephants, rhinos, and other nocturnal animals often gather.
Accommodation: Okaukuejo or Halali Lodge (twin-share, en-suite)
Meals: Lunch, Dinner
An early start gives us the best chance of spotting predators returning from their night hunts. Today is dedicated to a full day of game viewing in Etosha, focusing on the park’s many natural and artificial waterholes.
We also stop at the immense Etosha Pan, a blinding white mineral expanse stretching over 4,700 square kilometres, offering one of Namibia’s most surreal landscapes.
In the late afternoon, we exit the park via Anderson Gate and drive a short distance to our comfortable lodge near the park. Enjoy a relaxed evening and a delicious dinner under the African sky.
Accommodation: Etosha Village or Okatula Etosha Lodge (twin-share, en-suite)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, we depart around 07:30 and head west through the spectacular landscapes of Damaraland. Expect wide-open plains, granite hills, and opportunities to meet local Himba, Herero, and Damara people, who sell handcrafted souvenirs along the roadside.
We enjoy a picnic lunch near the towering Brandberg Mountain, Namibia’s highest peak, before continuing to the cold Atlantic coastline. Driving along the Skeleton Coast, we stop at the Zeila shipwreck, a striking reminder of the area’s maritime history.
Our journey ends in Swakopmund, a charming coastal town surrounded by desert dunes and ocean. You’ll be dropped off at your accommodation within the city, with time to enjoy excellent restaurants or optional activities.
