Etosha National Park is one of Africa’s top wildlife destinations, famous for its large salt pan and waterholes where animals gather. Visitors can see elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and many antelope species in a relatively open landscape that makes wildlife viewing easy.
The Skeleton Coast is known for its dramatic Atlantic coastline, shipwrecks, desert dunes, and foggy wilderness. It offers a unique contrast between ocean and desert, with sightings of seals, desert-adapted wildlife, and vast untouched scenery.
In Walvis Bay, visitors can enjoy dolphin and seal catamaran cruises, kayaking with seals, and birdwatching in the lagoon, which is home to large flocks of flamingos and pelicans.
Sandwich Harbour is a unique destination where towering sand dunes meet the Atlantic Ocean. It is famous for 4x4 dune drives, photography, and panoramic views of desert meeting sea.
The best time to visit Etosha National Park is during the dry season from May to October when wildlife gathers around waterholes. The coastal areas like Walvis Bay and Skeleton Coast can be visited year-round, though weather is often cooler and foggier along the coast.
